People of Nagorno-Karabakh must decide their destiny – Uruguay’s FM

     Principle of nations’ right to self-determination must be fundamental element of the Karabakh peace process, Uruguay’s Foreign Minister Luis Almagro told journalists in Yerevan.

He noted that Nagorno-Karabakh’s population is closely connected with Armenia adding that the right to self-determination is one of the provisions of the international law and is set in the UN Charter.

“This right should be taken into account while solving the conflict. Uruguay also condemns military rhetoric,” he stressed.

“The people of Nagorno-Karabakh must decide their destiny,” he emphasized.
